Introdução

Echinochloa crus-galli, conhecida popularmente como capim-arroz, capim-de-espinho ou grama-d'água, é uma erva daninha semi-aquática da família Poaceae e do gênero Echinochloa, que reúne 250 espécies no mundo. Originária da Europa e da Índia, está entre as plantas daninhas mais nocivas globalmente, tendo invadido pastagens, florestas costeiras, plantações e margens de estradas na Ásia, Austrália e América.
